Tips to involve little Farmers
Little helpers will love to rub the butter and flour together!
Recipe
-
1
Sift the flour into a bowl, add cubed cold butter and rub it into the flour with your fingertips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
-
2
Add the vanilla and 1 tbsp of cold water and knead until the pastry starts to come together.
-
3
Gradually add more cold water until you have a smooth dough. If it gets too sticky add a little more flour.
-
4
Form the dough into a ball and flatten it into a discs so it rolls out easier, then wrap in cling film and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes - 1 hour
-
5
Roll the dough out on a floured surface to about 5mm thickness and then cut out shapes using a 1inch or 1.5 inch moon and star cookie cutters, you will need 40 shapes for 20 pie pops.
-
6
Leave 20 shapes on a lined baking tray and place a pop stick on top so that it rests in the centre of each shape. Place 1 Giant Milkybar Button in the middle of each shape then brush the edges with water and place a matching shape on top to seal.
-
7
Preheat the oven to 180C then brush the top of each pie pop with egg wash and bake for around 20 minutes or until golden brown.
-
8
Leave to cool slightly then, melt down the remaining Giant Milkybar Buttons and scatter it over the top of the pie pops along with some sprinkles to decorate.
-
9
Serve immediately and enjoy.
